For homeowners in West Norfolk

Need a plumber? Get it quoted.

Tell us the job once. We pass it to up to three local plumbers and heating engineers who get in touch to quote. Free, and no obligation. King's Lynn, Hunstanton, Downham Market and everywhere in between.

Before you start

Do you need permission?

Boilers, bathrooms and kitchens don't need planning permission. Air source heat pumps are usually permitted development, within limits on size and siting.

Anyone working on gas must be on the Gas Safe Register. For the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant towards a heat pump, the installer must be MCS certified.

General guidance for England, not legal advice. The council's planning team can confirm for your house, and the government's Planning Portal has the details.

Hiring

What to ask a plumber.

Good to know

Straight answers.

Does it cost anything?

No. It's free for homeowners. Local firms pay us to hear about jobs.

How many firms will contact me?

No more than three for each trade you pick.

Are the firms checked?

No. We pass jobs on, we don't vet anyone. Ask for insurance, references and a written quote before you go ahead.
